The story begins
Col. Del Lewis, 433rd Operations Group Commander, passes a squadron flag to Lt. Col Rick Martino, the commander of the new 733rd Training Squadron during a ceremony marking the activation of the training unit. The 733rd TRS is a new squadron without previous heritage. Colonel Martino remarked that although the unit is brand new, it is not without tradition. "Altus AFB, (previous home to the C-5 Formal Training Unit) built a proud tradition and here we are, the Reserve, with help from active-duty (to take on the C-5 aircrew training mission), quite a team."
