Maintaining the fleet
Senior Airman Jessica Wheat, a reserve maintainer with the 433rd Maintenance Group here at Lackland AFB's Kelly Field, performs a lamp test on the loadmaster's aft control panel, part of the aft loading complex. There are thousands of components on a C-5 and each must be in perfect working order to keep the aircraft mission ready at all times.
