Two new squadrons at the Alamo Wing
While the C-5 Formal Training Unit at Lackland AFB's Kelly Field held a ceremony to welcome two new squadrons into the 433rd Airlift Wing, The first of the C-5 full motion flight simulators was in the begining stages of instalation. Currently aircrew students and instructors use a simulator in another building within the wing. Once this equipment is up and running, available training time will double for students to earn thier initial qualification, the instructors at the schoolhouse who must maintain thier certification and the 68th Airlift Squadron, the Alamo Wing's operational flying squadron.
