Master Sgt. Tony Wilks, deputy superintendent of the 433rd Operations Groups' 733rd Training Squadron, explains the various scenarios utilized by the 733 TRS's C-5A Galaxy simulator to visitors from insurance giant USAA's Mortgage Division. The 733 rd TRS is a formal C-5 training unit that trains all C-5 aircrews and students and is located at the 433rd Airlift Wing, a C-5 equipped, Air Force Reserve unit located at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland. New Leadership for the 356th AS
Lt. Col. Pat Brooks (right) steps into his new role as commander of the 356th Airlift Squadron during a change of command ceremony at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland Dec. 5. In his civilian life, Brooks is a flight officer for Delta Airlines assigned to the MD-88 aircraft in Atlanta, Ga. He has also previously flown the B-747 with UPS. IAAFA students visit Alamo Wing
Over 100 students from the Inter-American Air Forces Academy, located at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, climb inside a massive C-5A Galaxy assigned to the 433rd Airlifit Wing, an Air Force Reserve unit also located at JBSA-Lackland on Nov. 15. Since 1993, IAAFA students have visited the "Alamo Wing" maintenance shops as part of their aircraft-maintenance and logistics studies. Since 1942, IAAFA has conducted international training in the Spanish language, forging ties with Latin American military, national police and governmental agencies. The school continues to remove language and cultural barriers by building partnerships between the U.S. and countries in the North and South American continents, Central America and the Caribbean region.

433rd "Alamo Wing" Honorary Commanders recognize "Hidden Hero"
433rd Airlift Wing Honorary Commanders pose with "Hidden Hero" Senior Airman Digna Norris, a bio-environmental technician assigned to the 433rd Medical Squadron. She was recognized at the annual "Salute to Employers" luncheon, hosted by the Area 4 (S.A.) committee of Employer Support of the Guard & Reserve, Texas, Nov. 6 at the Double Tree Hotel in downtown San Antonio. The ESGR is a DOD-sanctioned volunteer agency that cultivates positive relations between civilian employers and their employees who serve in the Reserve forces. The Hidden Heroes program is sponsored by the Greater S.A. Chamber of Commerce. The Honorary Commanders Program partners business and community leaders with wing senior leadership to educate them about the wing's mission in the Air Force and the national defense.
