New Leadership for the 356th AS

Lt. Col. Pat Brooks (right) steps into his new role as commander of the 356th Airlift Squadron during a change of command ceremony at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland Dec. 5. He assumes command from Lt. Col. Adam Willis (left), 433rd Operations Group commander. "I look forward to leading the 356th AS into the future," said Brooks. "Our 356th AS C-5 Galaxy pilot, flight engineer, and loadmaster instructors welcome and look forward to future challenges associated with executing the Flight Training Unit syllabus. Regardless of which airframe we are teaching in, the 356th AS will remain postured and ready to provide the U.S. Air force with the finest combat ready C-5 Galaxy aircrew." In his civilian life, Brooks is a flight officer for Delta Airlines assigned to the MD-88 aircraft in Atlanta, Ga. He has also previously flown the B-747 with UPS.
