JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas -- Nearly 20 medical personnel with the 433rd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, 433rd Airlift Wing, will be departing here April 11, 2020 on a short-notice deployment. These Reserve Citizen Airmen are being mobilized to support COVID-19 patient treatment.
The 433rd AES trains, equips, recruits and retains citizen Airmen to be mission ready and to operate the worldwide Aeromedical Evacuation system in war and peace. These medical personnel specialize in caring for patients who are flying on military aircraft.
Deploying members are both officer and enlisted, and include flight nurses and medical technicians.
