Firefighters with the 433rd Civil Engineer Squadron rushed to the flightline with lights flashing as they responded to multiple simulated C-5A engine fires here Dec. 6 as part of an annual training exercise.

The firefighters are required to undergo C-5 egress training annually in order to remain proficient. During the training session, experts within the unit evaluated the firefighters on  their response procedures, ability to extinguish the fires, conduct search and rescue and power down the aircraft.
