Firefighter C-5 Egress Training
Senior Airman Shannon Seay, 433rd Civil Engineer Squadron firefighter, readies a hose for fellow firefighters before simulating extinguishing a C-5A Galaxy engine fire Dec. 6, 2015 on the Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas flightline. The firefighters are required to conduct C-5 egress training annually in order to remain proficient. The scenario required the team to respond to number one and number two engine fires on the aircraft. In addition to extinguishing the fire, the team had to shut the aircraft off and conduct a search and rescue sweep. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Lindsey Maurice)
