• Fighting fire with fire: AFCEC program combats increasing wildland fire risk 

    Prescribed burns, often described as the most important tool in managing fire-dependent ecosystems, are lighting up landscapes on and near Air Force installations from coast to coast. Under the watchful eyes of the Air Force Civil Engineer Center’s Wildland Fire Branch, the fires are lit to reduce
