Sexual assault doesn’t discriminate. It doesn’t discriminate by gender, age, ethnicity or religious affiliation. Sexual assault can happen to anyone. It’s considered to be an unthinkable, heartbreaking act that can never truly be prepared for. Sexual assault is defined as intentional sexual contact characterized by use of force, physical threat, intimidation, abuse of authority or when the victim does not or cannot consent. It includes rape, forcible sodomy and unwanted sexual contact or attempts to commit these acts.
