Lone Star Warriors Hone Joint Skills Across JBSA Skies
An Airman from the 26th Aerial Port Squadron prepares to hook 2,000 pounds of “relief supplies” to a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter flown by a Soldier from Texas Army National Guard Company C, 2-149 Aviation, as part of a sling load mission during Operation Lone Star Vigilance June 10, 2018, at Joint Base San Antonio-Camp Bullis, Texas. Operation Lone Star Vigilance was a joint-training exercise involving Active-Duty and Reserve Airmen and Soldiers from the Texas Army National Guard from installations across San Antonio. The multi-service missions saw the successful completion of aerial reconnaissance, sling loading of cargo, MEDEVAC hoists, personnel recovery and the simultaneous operation of multiple helicopter landing zones.
