The Alamo Wing celebrates cultural heritage and diversity
Cleto Rodriguez (left) comedian and TV personality on Channel 4, WOAI was this year’s special guest. Cleto’s grandfather, Cleto L. Rodríguez, a native who grew up in San Antonio, served in both the U.S. Army and in the U.S. Air Force, received a Medal of Honor for his actions in Manila and in the Philippines during World War II. Col. William W. Whittenberger, 433rd Airlift Wing, commander, recognized Cleto’s grandfather by presenting him with a certificate of appreciation and a wing coin. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt.
