Alamo Wing welcomes Navy ‘War Eagles,’ past and present
Close to 50 “War Eagles” from across the United States arrived in San Antonio, Oct. 3 for their annual VP-16 reunion. One of their stops in the Alamo city was a visit to the 433rd Airlift Wing, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas to see the Alamo Wing’s massive C-5A Galaxy aircraft. Along with viewing the C-5A, War Eagles of VP-16 from Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida flew into Kelly’s Airfield Annex in a P-8A Poseidon to join the tour and the Reunion.
