Flight medics honored with portrait
Senior Airman Michael Romer, a 433rd Aeromedical evacuation Squadron flight medic, holds the Bandage 33 portrait during its presentation to the unit on September 7, 2014 at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. Tech. Sgt. Kim Herrera, 433rd Airlift Wing historian, read the story behind the portrait. Col. William Whittenberger, Jr., 433rd Airlift Wing commander, looks on as Staff Sgt. Amanda Torres, 433rd AES flight medic, was honored. Torres is one of the two 433rd AES medical personnel portrayed saving the life of a Air Force Combat Controller in the portrait.
