Welcome Home
After six months in Afghanistan, member of the 433rd Civil Engineer Squadron returned home on Sept 22, 2008. Family and friends met them at San Antonio Airport with banners, cheers and even a few happy tears were shed during the reunion. The Alamo Wing engineers spent their deployment building and repairing structures at Bagram Airfield and several forward operating locations. They installed air conditioning units for Soldiers, brought older buildings up to U.S. Military construction codes and built brand new facilities. The group joined up with members of the Niagara Falls Air Force Reserve unit to create the first Prime BEEF, or Prime Base Emergency Engineer Force, team to operate in the country in almost two years.
