Teaching new pilots about newer avionics in older aircraft
Instructors from the 356th Airlift Squadron, train C-5 crew members on the modernized avionics package installed in the C-5A Galaxy cargo aircraft as part of the Avionics Modernization Program. The Alamo Wing was the first C-5 unit to recieve the upgrade for the A model. The AMP replaces analog avionics instruments with digital electronic equipment. The AMP program is just one way the Air Force is recapilizing its airlift fleet. (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman Brian McGloin)
