Teaching new pilots new tricks in old plane
Instructors and students from the 356th Airlift Squadron, walk back to the school after training on the new digital instruments installed in the C-5A Galaxy cargo aircraft as part of the Avionics Modernization Program. The Alamo Wing was the first C-5 unit to receive the upgrade for the A model. The AMP replaces analog avionics instruments with digital electronic components. The AMP program is just one way the Air Force is recapitalizing its airlift fleet. (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman Brian McGloin)
