Field kitchens advance in capability
Airman First Class Valente Carreon, 433rd Services Squadron, shows his co-workers the Babington Multi-fuel Burner (PMB) during a recent field training exercise. the PMB it is the newest cooking element available to Services in the field and replaces the previous single burner model. The PMB is part of the Single Pallet Expeditionary Kitchen. The SPEK is used to support early deployments with hot food. the SPEK was designed to prepare heat & serve Unitized Group Rations to 550 people.
