A C-5 at sunrise on the Lackland AFB Flightline.
Air Force Reserve Command's 433rd Airlift Wing at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, is home to 16 C-5A Galaxy Airlifters. The C-5 is the only aircraft capable of transporting oversized cargo, non-stop, to anywhere in the world. C-5s from Lackland participated in humanitarian missions to include Hurricane relief and carrying aid to the victims of the earthquake in Pakistan. The C-5s from Lackland also support the airlift needs of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
