Humble Alamo Wing Chief is Living Legacy
Chief Master Sgt. Rodney Christa stands with the bronze plaque that will be placed at Mobility Memorial Park at Scott AFB. The bust has a C-130 being loaded by aeromedical troops while a C-17 comes into to land. The Bronze work is in honor of the Airlift Tanker Association Hall of Fame's Aeromedical Evacuation Team. Chief Christa was inducted into the ATA AE Legacy Team in honor of his service during OIF and his leadership in evacuating medical patients from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina ravaged the Gulf Coast Area. Chief Christa's direction and innovation during the emergency helped pave the way for new national disaster response plans to be implemented in the event of a catastrophic disaster or terrorist attack.
