Speaking up in Basic Military Training
Airman 1st Class Nicole Munoz, 324th Training Squadron, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, reads a news script as part of an audition for a position as an Air Force Reserve broadcaster. Airman Munoz, in her final days of basic military training, is hoping to enter the Basic Public Affairs Specialist - Broadcaster course at the Defense Information School at Fort George G. Meade, Md. after graduation. Airman Munoz, a Reservist from California, is scheduled to return home directly after graduation from BMT. Reservists and Guardsmen work and train alongside their active duty counterparts from the moment they enlist up to their separation or retirement. All public affairs, Navy mass communications specialists, photographers, bandsmen, broadcasters and related fields in all branches of the military, including the U.S. Coast Guard, go to DINFOS for their training.
