Father John M. Wagener, 433rd Airlift Wing chaplain augmentee, poses for a group photo with Alamo Wing Airmen shortly after concluding Catholic service inside the 433rd AW's chapel area, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. Father Wagener has more than 40 years of service to his God and country. He retired in 1988 after a combined 22 years of service as an active-duty chaplain in the Air Force and Army. The Minnesota native has been tending to the spiritual needs of the men and women of the Alamo Wing for 17 years after earning a doctorate degree in human development and family studies from Texas Tech University in Lubbock.
