From cadet to vice commander (Alamo Wing colonel retires)
A cake displays photos commemorating the service of Retired Col. Dale Andrews' 33 years of military service. Colonel Andrews received his commission as an officer in the U.S. Air Force by graduating from the Air Force Academy in 1981. His last assignment was serving as vice commander for the 433rd Airlift Wing. Colonel Andrews’ retirement ceremony took place May 14, 2011 in the Inter-American Air Forces Academy Auditorium at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.
