Members of the 433rd Airlift Wing take a moment to reflect on the events of Sept. 11, 2001 during the 10-year anniversary of the attacks. Staff Sgt. Marc Rutherford, 433rd Airlift Wing Chaplain Corps chaplain assistant, was was in Tyndal Air Force Base, Fla., retraining for Special Operations Command during the September 11 attacks. "We thought it was part of an exercise until they brought in a big-screen TV and we watched the second plane crash into the towers," he said. "That's when we knew it was real." "It has changed our lives forever," he said. "I don't think any differently -- we have been in a new mindset ever since that happened." (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Brian McGloin)
