Last enlisted member from Vietnam War retires from Alamo Wing
Master Sergeant Bob Kane, the last enlisted member from the 433rd Airlift Wing to serve in the Vietnam War, retired on Saturday, Jan. 7 from the Air Force Reserve. Kane joined the Air Force in August 1970 and was a C-130 Hercules mechanic during the conflict. "I couldn't have done any of this without you," he said in his farewell speech to family, colleagues and friends gathered at the Cargo Load Trainer Facility, Building 819 at Lackland AFB, Texas.
