Lackland Reserve unit honors fallen heroes Published May 19, 2009 By 090501 LACKLAND AFB, Texas -- The 433rd Airlift Wing will get an early start on the Memorial Day weekend, with a ceremony honoring the men and women from the Alamo Wing who lost their lives in performance of their military duties. The ceremony, scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, in honor of the Alamo Wing Airmen and all members of the military who've paid the ultimate price for freedom, will mark the start of this weekend of remembrance. In addition to Thursday's ceremony, the public is also encouraged to observe a moment of silence at 3:00 p.m. on Monday to honor all of this nation's fallen heroes.
