The 433rd Airlift Wing's C-5 load trainer facility provides a unique training opportunity to units across Joint Base San Antonio. When units need to quickly respond to natural disasters, air transportation becomes a priority to move equipment and personnel. "This is a great training opportunity because it allows us to continue working with the Air Force, who obviously plays a pivotal part in our mission by providing air movement to our deployed locations." said Lt. Col. Sandra Chaves, Task Force 51 logistics chief. "The 433rd AW has always been extremely helpful; it's always a great time coming out here to do joint training." Task Force 51 has the unique capability of providing a deployable command and control element to Department of Defense headquarters in the event of a natural disaster.
