"We have faced the problem of sexual assault and harassment within the Air Force culture, and now it's up to us to fix it," he said. Pennington stressed the importance of recognizing, addressing and preventing sexual assault and harassment in the "Alamo Wing" workplace. The stand-down day and briefing were directed throughout the Department of Defense as their prevention strategy of sexual assault and harassment .
