The members of the 433rd Airlift Wing, in partnership with the San Antonio Food Bank, are currently conducting a food drive to ensure all San Antonio families have a wonderful holiday season. Collection bins will be located throughout the wing for various non-perishable canned items to be donated. Examples of items needed are canned tuna, soups, stews, peanut butter, rice, and macaroni and cheese (boxed).

The collection bins are located at the following buildings:
· Building 921 (433rd AW Headquarters)
· Building 908 (433rd Force Support Squadron)
· Building 910 (433rd Airlift Control Flight)
· Building 907 (433rd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron)
· Building 817 (433rd Security Forces Squadron)
· Building 1530 (433rd Aerial Port Squadron)
· Building 1610 (433rd Medical Squadron)
· Building 898 (433rd Maintenance Group)
· Building 909 (433rd Family Readiness Office)

Colonel Jeffrey T. Pennington, 433rd Airlift Wing commander, stressed the importance of helping those in need.

"We have a duty to serve our country and our local community," stated Col. Pennington. "We are part of the fabric of this community and we will step up to ensure this food drive is a success. Our team is honored to support the San Antonio Food Bank's November goal of 1 million pounds of food donated."

The food drive is also being conducted in partnership with the members of the 149th Fighter Wing. SMSgt Judith Gutierrez, 433rd Maintenance Squadron First Sergeant and a coordinator of the food drive, believes the members of the Alamo Wing should give back.

"We have used the San Antonio Food Bank and have directed some of our members there for assistance," stated SMSgt Gutierrez. "The food bank has been there for us, it's time for us to give back to them."

All donations will be delivered to the San Antonio Food Bank at the end of the month. For more information on the food drive, please contact the 433rd Force Support Squadron Family Support office at (210) 925-3650.
