With heavy hearts the 433rd Airlift Wing said good bye to a family member.

Tech. Sgt. Angela Steger from the Security Forces Squadron passed away on May 27, 2014 from an illness.

Steger was born in September of 1971 in Lithonia, Georgia. She joined the 433rd AW in May 2009.

"It was an honor and privilege for us all to serve with such an exceptional leader, true mentor and caring individual," said Maj. William Dains II, 433rd Security Forces commander. "Angela's drive and professionalism was constant. Her huge optimistic smile and contagious laugh radiated throughout the squadron. Although she left us way too soon, the impression she left on so many of our hearts will never be forgotten."

"Her heart was truly Air Force," said Senior Master Sgt. Eric Smith, 433rd SFS First Sergeant.

"Tech. Sgt. Steger was an outstanding Airman who demonstrated superior and selfless service to our nation and her fellow Wingman. Her energy, passion and friendship will be sorely missed by every member of the 433d Airlift Wing family," said Col. Aaron Vangelisti, 433rd AW Wing Commander.
