Honorary commanders tour 433rd Mission Support Group Published Sept. 12, 2014 By Minnie Jones 433rd Airlift Wing Public Affairs Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland -- A group of honorary commanders toured the 433rd Mission Support Group Sept. 6, along with their pertinent squadron commanders. The tour began at the 433rd Headquarters' Building, where honorary commanders were greeted by, Col. William Whittenberger, 433rd Wing Commander, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas and the host for the day, Col. Craig Petersen, 433rd Mission Support Group commander. Other Mission Support squadron commanders in attendance were Major Joshua Kovacic, 433rd Civil Engineering Squadron commander; Lt. Col. Jason Exum, 26th Aerial Support Squadron; Lt. Col. Laurence Harris, 74th Aerial Support Squadron; Lt. Col. James Hearn, 433rd Logistics Readiness Squadron and Major William Danis, 433rd Security Forces Squadron. Throughout the rest of the day, the honorary commanders were treated to demonstrations from squadrons that fell under the control of the Mission Support Group. The visit included the 433rd Civil Engineering Squadron's, Fire department, both 26th and 74th Aerial Support Squadrons. The 802nd Security Forces personnel, one the wings' active duty counter-part on base volunteered to help with the tour with a demonstration of the 802nd Security Forces Working dogs. The tour concluded with lunch in the Medical Group's conference room.
