Tullis was invited to speak at the event and talk about her career in the Air Force. "I'm always overwhelmed at the support here in San Antonio, when I go out in public in my uniform, people always come up to me and thank me for my service, said Tullis. "It's honor and a pleasure to serve this country." Tullis, who flies the C-5A Galaxy, is an instructor pilot at the 433rd Airlift Wing, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. After taking her first lesson, she discovered her love for flying. She went on to talk about her role as an Air Force Reserve pilot and the mission of the strategic aircraft that she flies, which delivers palletized, oversized cargo and combat ready troops anywhere in the world. Tullis has flown missions around the world including in support of OPERATIONS ENDURING and IRAQI FREEDOM, accumulating over 700 combat hours.
