A Congressional Air Force Reserve lead staff delegation from Washington D.C. visited Joint Base San Antonio, Texas Jan. 19, 2016, with their first stop of their three-day visit, touring Reserve Units on Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland. The tour included the 433rd Airlift Wing, the 733rd Schoolhouse and the 960th Cyberspace Operations Group.

Col. David A. Scott, 433rd Airlift Wing commander and incoming wing commander Col. Thomas K. Smith, greeted the delegation as they disembarked a KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft from the 507nd Air Refueling Wing, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. During their tour at the "Alamo Wing," they received a wing mission brief and experience a flight in one of two C-5A simulators in the 733rd Schoolhouse.

"This is a great opportunity to come out and see what our Airmen are doing, and we get a first hand look at the policies coming out of Washington D.C. and the impact they are going to have on our service members, we just appreciate them having us out here today," said Matthew Haskins, legislative director for Congressman Will Hurd. "The simulator is a great way to familiarize someone with this airframe and at the same time save Air Force dollars.
