New AFPAAS mobile app available Published July 15, 2022 By Michael Dukes 315th Public Affairs JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Reporting accountability during events just got easier. The Air Force Personnel Accountability and Assessment System recently announced that Air Force personnel can now use their mobile app (common access card not needed) to easily report accountability during natural or man-made disasters. The free app can be downloaded is available in the Apple Store and Google Play apps by searching “AFPAAS.” App features include: Mobile accounts for you and your dependents Push notifications for real-time AFPAAS disaster event alerts Complete a needs assessment for disaster related needs Update contact and displacement location information Access helpful disaster related documents To log in to the app, use your DoD ID located on your CAC. In some cases, uses will need to log go to https://afpaas.af.mil and click “Reset your password.” After a successful password reset, you will then log in to the app with your DoD ID number and new password. In the past, the 315th Airlift Wing app offered an accountability method for AFPAAS events, but the new AFPAAS app is more secure and efficient. “I encourage everyone in the wing to download the new AFPAAS app now to be better prepared for future events,” said Col. John Robinson, 315th AW commander. “Wing members should also download the wing mobile app if they haven’t already done so, as there are many features that will be a great convenience to our members,” said Capt. Shane Ellis. “And it’s important to make sure that push notifications are enabled so that you can stay up to date with urgent events affecting the wing.” Besides offering occasional urgent local push alerts from wing leadership, the 315th app offers a wing phone book, an updated UTA schedule that can integrate with your device calendar, COVID updates, Force Support and medical information, mobile safety reporting, inspector general information, important Employer Support of Guard and Reserve information, on base driving directions and much more.
