FORCECON 2022 kicks off first Armed Forces Esports Championship

The U.S. Air Force Services Center hosts the inaugural Armed Forces Esports Championship from May 24-28.  The 2022 Armed Forces Championship features players from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, and Coast Guard.  

The Armed Forces Sports Championship featuring Halo: Infinite held on May 28, will be a premier Esports competition taking place as part of FORCECON, a massive military gaming and tech event celebrating the intersection of gaming, technology, innovation, education and the United States Armed Forces.

Celebrity host Guy Blaze and casters Magick Moonshot, Garrett O’Toole, YNOT B Casting, and Shyway join the live broadcast starting at 11 a.m. May 28. 

The Armed Forces Sports Council approved the establishment of Esports as the newest Armed Forces Sports Championship in April 2022.  The 2022 Armed Forces Esports Championship, hosted by the Air Force, marks the first federally sanctioned Esport competition and the first gaming program adopted by the Armed Forces Sports program.
