Col. Bailey assumes command of the 433rd Aeromedical Staging Squadron Published Nov. 8, 2020 By Tech. Sgt. Iram Carmona 433rd Airlift Wing JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas -- Col. Michael C. Brice, 433rd Medical Group commander, handed the 433rd Aeromedical Staging Squadron unit guidon to Col. David P. Bailey during an assumption of command ceremony Nov. 7, at the 433rd Medical Group building here. At the ceremony, Brice spoke as to why he selected Bailey for the position. “I received several packages from the Pentagon and Air Force Reserve Command and as I was reviewing those, Colonel Bailey’s name kept coming to the top,” said Brice. “One of the things that stood out was that he has already been a commander, so he understands the responsibilities of a command and the challenges that come with that.” During the ceremony, Bailey mentioned that he was excited to assume command and that he looked forward to the challenges ahead. “I look forward to getting to know the Airmen in ASTS and working for them,” said Bailey. “I look forward to the new challenge, a different squadron and a different mission.”
