433rd MSG Commander welcomes former MSG commander Published June 23, 2020 By Minnie Jones/Tech. Sgt. Iram Carmona 433rd Airlift Wing JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas -- Col. Lisa M. Craig, Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command A1 director of manpower, personnel and services, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, returned to the 433rd Airlift Wing here, where she was assigned until 2016. In August of this year, she will become the deputy commander of Air Force Recruiting, at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas. Craig met with her successor, Col. Wayne M. Williams, 433rd Mission Support Group commander, for a meet-n-greet here, June 18. While here, she toured several completed buildings that were under construction while she was assigned to the Alamo Wing. “I have met Colonel Craig several times before,” said Williams. “We spent most of our time this visit showing her the results of the construction projects that she set in motion when she was the 433rd MSG commander several years ago. She toured completed renovations of buildings 809, 817, and 910, and the in-progress renovation of building 908, where her office was when she was here at the Alamo Wing. She was clearly very pleased to see how well the projects turned out; and how much better our working conditions were as a result.” After touring the building, Craig said, “I was pleased with how it turned out. Everything we had envisioned has come to fruition, and it sounds like they are going to take it to the next level with some new changes that are allowed for them to make it even better. During her visit, she also had an opportunity to see old friends and meet new faces. “We loved being part of the Alamo wing, and looked forward to staying more engaged with what we call our Alamo wing family here,” said Craig. Regarding her return to San Antonio, “We love San Antonio, what a great city to be a part of here, there is nothing like San Antonio, also known as ‘Military City USA,’ and their support for Airmen and other services, is incomparable. There is nothing like San Antonio.” Craig went on to say, “What a great leadership team here working 433rd issues. I’m super impressed. It seems like a perfect blend of leadership that is in command right now… Everyone is firing on all cylinders, quite frankly, with all the challenges with COVID-19; that’s a remarkable feat, in and of itself; I’m really impressed with the team.”
