Maintenance chief retires after 38 years of service

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas --

Chief Master Sgt. Joseph Salomon, 433rd Maintenance Group superintendent, brought a 38-year military career to a close at his retirement ceremony here July 13.

Lt. Col. Stuart Martin, 433rd MXG commander, officiated the ceremony in the 433rd Airlift Wing auditorium. More than 175 coworkers, friends and family attended.

Salomon started his military career in the Army before moving to the Air Force Reserve with the Alamo Wing in 1988.
