433rd Airlift Wing hosts its annual family day event Published May 9, 2019 By Tech. Sgt. Iram Carmona 433rd Airlift Wing JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas -- Reserve Citizen Airmen from the 433rd Airlift Wing and their families, attended the annual family day event here May 5. Wing organizations and community sponsors provided food and a variety of activities including static aircraft displays, information booths, and games. “This is great,” said Chaplain (Capt.) Matthew Hanzelka, 433rd AW, about the event. “It gives people a chance to get to know each other rather than just sitting behind a desk.” This was the first time Hanzelka had attended the family day event here. But for many others, it was an event they looked forward to attending. “I try to bring my family every year even though some of them can’t always make it,” said Tech. Sgt. Mark Henson, 433rd Maintenance Group. “Some of them work but my wife usually comes.”
