"Alamo Wing" leadership, Honorary Commanders enjoy festive sounds

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas -- Eight Honorary Commanders from the 433rd Airlift Wing joined their partnered senior leadership at the annual Holiday in Blue concert at the Edgewood Theater for the Performing Arts in San Antonio, Texas on Sunday, Dec. 9.

Sponsored by the U.S. Air Force Band of the West, Holiday in Blue is a series of three Christmas concerts hosted by the San Antonio military community. The third and final concert was hosted by Col. Jeffrey T. Pennington, 433rd AW commander.

The wing's Honorary Commanders program partners civic and business leaders with wing senior leadership to educate them about the wing's missions within the Reserve forces, the U.S. Air Force and the national defense. Currently the wing has 24 Honorary Commanders for the 2012-13 period.
