Twenty-four Reserve Officer Training Corps cadets visited the 433rd Airlift Wing to get a better understanding about the Air Force Reserve, July 26 here. The cadets are taking part in Operations Air Force, a professional development training program for ROTC students across the United States.

The cadets began their visit with a tour of the 433rd Maintenance Squadron's engine shop. The cadets were able to view a C-5M engine up close and ask questions about the intricacy's of the General Electric built engine. After leaving the engine shop, the cadets visited the 733rd Training Squadron, where they got the chance to fly the C-5 simulator.

The simulator made quite the impression on cadet Andrew Olp, a University of Wisconsin-Madison sophomore. "Flying the simulator was hands down the greatest experiences of my life," he said. "It definitely gave me a better insight into what actually being a pilot is like, because I had never flown anything in my life before this."

The tour concluded with a C-5M Super Galaxy aircraft tour. The cadets were able to tour the flight deck, troop compartment, and cargo hold.
