The 433rd Airlift Wing was recognized at the San Antonio Missions game July 16 at Nelson Wolf Stadium. As a part of pre-game festivities, Col. Thomas K. Smith, Jr., 433rd AW commander, threw out the first pitch.

After the pitch, the 433rd AW Color Guard marched onto the field to present the colors. Capt. Aaron Washington, 433rd Logistics Readiness Squadron, sang the National Anthem to a packed crowd. The Alamo Wing Rising 6 Council coordinated the wing's leadership participation. Citizen Airmen that participated were able to enjoy food and drinks at a reserved location throughout the game.

"It was a privilege and honor for the 433rd to participate in the first pitch, national anthem, and honor guard presenting the colors," said Smith. "Our Rising 6 Council did a fantastic job coordinating the event."
