Citizen Airmen recognize employers' support Published Jan. 5, 2017 433rd Airlift Wing JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas -- Airmen from the 433rd Airlift Wing took the time to give back to their employers during the recent holiday season. Three Alamo Wing Airmen nominated their employers for the Employers of the Support and Guard Reserve's Patriot Award. According to the ESGR website, the "award recognizes supervisors and bosses nominated by a Guardsman or Reservist employee for support provided directly to the nominator". Airmen are encouraged to recognize the sacrifices employers make when a Reservist or Guardsman is activated to meet military requirements. Tech. Sgt. Shamilta Brock, 433rd Force Support Squadron force management, nominated Robert Perez, her Old Navy supervisor, for his ability to change work schedules to support annual tour and military drill requirements. Capt. Jasmine Davis, 433rd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron flight nurse, nominated Jeannie Berry, Complete Care supervisor, for supporting her during flight school and for an eight month active order assignment. Senior Airman Taylor Mogford, 433rd Logistics Readiness Squadron supply journeyman, nominated Benito Lopez, Covenant Security, for approving annual tour dates and filling in for him when he was called to participate in a real-world military exercise. ESGR volunteers Ray Forgy and Jim Cunningham assisted in presenting the awards to the employers. To learn more concerning the ESGR and its programs, click here.
