Andrew Camplen, on his graduation day when he received Sebestian, his service dog at the National WWII Museum, New Orleans, LA, Aug. 24, 2019. “I was sitting in a chair waiting on my dog to be delivered. And I have to say that Monday, my heart was pounding, and the adrenaline rush, and then Sebastian was walked into the room by his trainer. Camplen is now the Director of Client Services for the United States Veterans Service Dogs, which was created for and dedicated to helping veterans return to a new “Normal” by training and placing quality service dogs with veterans. Starting Fri. Sept. 25, Joint Base San Antonio will discontinue “For Official Business Only” access to the installation and change the Health Protection Condition to BRAVO PLUS. JBSA intends to balance expanding installation access and services while continuing to emphasize public health precautions in accordance with established city, state, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines and limits.
