Wing Operational Readiness Inspection Published Dec. 19, 2007 By Master Sgt. Collen McGee 433rd Airlift Wing LACKLAND AFB -- The 433rd Airlift Wing recently underwent an Operational Readiness Inspection to validate the state of the wing's war readiness. The inspection is given to Air Force units every five years, every three years if they score poorly. Inspectors from Air Mobility Command's Inspector General team tested every aspect of the wing including; how the unit mobilizes, deploys, employs its assets and on the redeployment home. Over 400 Airmen, representing almost every functional area of the Lackland Air Force Base Reserve unit, deployed to the Combat Readiness Training Center in Gulfport, Miss. Once there, Alamo Wing Airmen operated under simulated hostile fire conditions and tested their ability to survive and operate under various threat conditions. The results were presented in a briefing given by a representative from Air Mobility Command's Inspector General on December 19. Though the exact grade can not be released publicly, the ultimate result was that the Alamo Wing is war ready.
