San Antonio Airmen returning from Afghanistan

Almost 30 Reserve Airmen from the 433rd Civil Engineer Squadron are scheduled to return from Afghanistan beginning Sunday, Sept. 21.
The CES squadron deployed with Reservists from New York to create the first Prime BEEF, Prime Base Emergency Engineer Force in Afghanistan in almost two years. While deployed, the Texas Airmen did everything from facility repair to new construction. The Airmen deployed with specialists in several skills including, concrete, electrical, structures and heating and air conditioning. While deployed, the 433rd CES professionals provided air conditioning to troops, shelters for military working dogs and updated the construction on buildings originally built by the soviets. Many of thier projects involved bringing outdated construction up to proper standards for safety and longevity.

The Airmen are scheduled to begin arriving at the San Antonio International Airport Sunday afternoon.
