  • DAF offers 1,300-plus summer job opportunities to qualified students

    More than 1,300 students will get an opportunity to develop and hone their skills under the Department of the Air Force’s flagship summer hire program.  The 2021 Summer Hire Employment Program provides students in high school, college, trade school, vocational school, and other qualifying educational programs with opportunities to work in federal departments and agencies and explore federal careers while still in school, said Tracy Wise, Civilian Recruitment and Placement branch chief here.
  • First 433rd AES crew trains on KC-46A Pegasus

    Reserve Citizen Airmen in the 433rd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron here trained for the first time aboard a KC-46A Pegasus March 8-10, to learn and practice their aeromedical skills on the new aircraft.
  • 733rd TRS NCO wins at 4th AF

    Brig. Gen. Jeffrey Pennington, 4th Air Force commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Cynthia Villa, 4th AF command chief, announced the 2020 4th AF Airmen and First Sergeant Council of the year winners March 11, at March Air Reserve Base, California. The 4th AF Senior NCO of the Year is Master Sgt. Jason Henry, 733rd Training Squadron flight engineer instructor.
  • Third Annual Spring Motorcycle Focus Kick-off

    The third annual Spring PMV-2 Focus, will be held from March 21- May 21, 2021, is intended to highlight motorcycle safety and ensure all Air Force military riders know the requirements. The Motorcycle Unit Safety Tracking Tool (MUSTT) and Unit Motorcycle Safety Representative (MSR's) are vital in helping Airmen mitigate risks inherent to riding a motorcycle.

  • 433rd AW trains in readiness

    Almost 50 Reserve Citizen Airmen participated March 6, in the 433rd Airlift Wing’s first chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosives exercise at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic last year.
  • PT test pushed to July, updates to scoring, physical components ahead

    When assessments resume, the three-component fitness test (1.5 mile run, 1 minute of pushups and situps) will be reset with scores calculated on a new three component scoring table. In addition, work is underway to separate scoring into five-year age groups as opposed to the previous ten – for example, age groups will start at <25, 25-29 years old, 30-34, years old, etc.
  • Reserve Citizen Airmen train at Patriot Sands 2021

    Four contingency response units participated in Exercise Patriot Sands Feb. 24-28 at multiple locations in Florida to refine their contingency response capabilities. Patriot Sands is an annual Air Force Reserve Command exercise for contingency response squadrons and affiliate units to train on deploying within 72 hours of a tasking. The purpose of the joint exercise was to increase readiness and interoperability.
  • Air Force finalizes PT uniform design; will begin production process

    After numerous tests and feedback from Airmen around the world, the Air Force Uniform Office has finalized the design of the new Physical Training Gear (PTG) uniform, and is preparing to begin the production process.
