  • The 433rd Airlift Wing held its 15th annual Bosses' Day Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, Sat., Nov. 15, 2008. The event, held in co-operation with Texas Committee of Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve, helped employers better understand the time and sacrifice their employees invest in their role as Air Force reservists. Civilian bosses of wing reservists flew aboard an Alamo Wing C-5A Galaxy, the largest aircraft in the U.S. Air Force inventory, and witnessed an in-flight aerial refueling mission with a KC-135 Stratotanker over the Gulf of Mexico.     Alamo Wing impresses employers on 15th Annual Bosses' Day

    The 433rd Airlift Wing hosted almost 40 employers at its 15th Annual Bosses' Day on Saturday Nov. 15. The goal was to showcase the skills Air Force Reservists bring to their civilian jobs. The bosses began arriving at Lackland Air Force Base at 6:30 a.m. They arrived in darkness to a cold, windswept airfield. The early start let the bosses
  • Boy Scout Troop 413 from New Braunfels, Texas spent a few hours learning how to perform basic moves associated with posting the colors. Reservists with the 433rd Airlift Wing, all members of the Lackland Base Honor Guard, volunteered the day to instruct the boys on October 25, 2008. The boys learned proper marching, facing movements and how to carry the rifles and the flags. Wing members said the boys worked hard and showed determination and that they would volunteer to do it again because of the personal satisfaction they gained during the instruction day.     Reservists and Scouts join forces, raise flag

    Six days before Halloween, Boy Scout Troop 413 wasn't thinking about orange pumpkins, black cats, tricks or treats. Instead, honor guard members from the 433rd Airlift Wing were helping them concentrate on how to carry flags, weapons and perform marching movements required to post the colors. The goal was to present knowledge to the boys.
