Andrew Kniffin and Gavin Sledge, sophomores at John Marshall High School in San Antonio, learned from Lt. Col. Scott McLaughlin, commander of 356th Airlift Squadron, 433d Airlift Wing, about the functions of the C-5 Galaxy Weapons System Trainer. The 356th AS is the classroom-training arm of the C-5 Flying Training Unit at the 433rd Airlift Wing, an Air Force Reserve unit located at Lackland AFB in San Antonio.
