10/27/2012 - JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas -- Athletes from across Joint Base San Antonio competed in the Rambler 120 Team Challenge Oct. 20 at JBSA Recreation Park at Canyon Lake. The event began with a 22-mile bike course, followed by a 6-mile run, a disc toss and a 2-mile rafting course. Teams consisted of four-member extreme teams and five-to eight-member relay teams, with four team members on the course at all times. The event is organized annually by the 902nd Force Support Squadron to promote physical fitness and morale. The 433rd Logistics Readiness Team of Peter Springirth, Shane Meling, Andrew Armstrong and Latoya Siples placed first in their division and third place overall out of 37 teams. It is the second time squadron had completed in the event.
